So here's the plan

My plane is booked. I leave the good ol'e U.S. of A. on the 4th of July. How long does it take to to get to Australia? This is an excellent question, and the answer is a bit tricky:

• I leave 5:45pm from Dulles on the 4th and arrive 12:20pm in Canberra on the 6th.
• The flight from Los Angeles to Melbourne is 15 hours 15 minutes.
• I added up time spent driving to the airport, waiting between flights, and total airtime in order to conclude that traveling from here to there takes approximately 1 day, 9 hours, 30 minutes.

So it should be an adventure. :)

I just have to send back some paperwork & get my visa next week. That'll at least get me into the country and a place to stay. I've just got to get money issues & packing figured out now. Whoot! The next few weeks are going to fly by...
